    orly? out of the question?

which intel proc do you have? if you drop down to the 320$ 7900 you could probably find an a64 3500+ and a motherboard for 180-200$ at Fry's electronics. It won't be the best motherboard there is, but it's acceptable, better than the 70$ MSI peice of shid I bought JUST for a PCI-e slot, I swear if I bought the $80 sempron/mobo deal I'd be better off now.

humn, you are iin a predicament. Your CPU i just fine. fairly good IMO. it's also out on a socket which has no PCI-e motherboards for it. see if you can sell it and the motherboard to a friend for like 100$(their approximate retail value ) I'm sure someone would want it. if it was s775, I'd say keep it, no need to hassle getting a new proc and all that stuff.

good point.. see if you can "FIX" the BIOS on it by flashing it

even then it is still fairly good for general use, I'm assuming it has no AGP port, but someone could peice together a decent mid/lowend system with it.

What do you mean by flashing it? I no little about the parts of computers, i just know how to use them. It does have an AGP port (8x)

I have an Intel processor, please read ;)
