    It says on the screen the Don not disconnect and the time of 12:01PM which was nearly 6 and a half hours ago. Ive tried pluging it back in to charge it but that does nothing it does nothing when I press anything so any advise?

    There is a way to cold boot the sucker or whatever you call it....if i remember right it something like....1. put your ipod on lock(the little switch). 2. hold down power off and the middle select button, unitl it shuts off. Then just turn it back on. its something like that and if that donest work i believe i found the process on mac's ipod site troubleshooting section or just google. but its some thing like the above mention procedure...

    here's a guide on how to reset your ipod. BTW were u trying to install the new firmware on it by any chance?
