ok I need some help with things such as blending, I've been playing with sig/banner creation but they come out like plain and not too catching if you get where I'm getting, I was hoping to get some help on blending and how to create like the neat designs alot of sigs ahve and such?

here is some I've made to show you what I'm talking about.

I have some others but I think this gets what I'm trying to say out there.

So I was hoping for some tips/help on how to make these better or even how to make my next one WAY better then my average "plain" designs.

    Thanks In Advance
    ~Mike

shut the ---- up. he wants help FROM US.
Mike, have you learnt to brush and have you any good brush packs? Those will help in a huge way. www.deviantart.com has some amasing brush sets, I suggest you download some. In the resources forum in this section you can download some utter fantastic brush sets. Good luck!

And then after one month, you'll realize everyone really thinks that downloaded brush sigs are horrible anyway, right when you get good at it... That's what happened to me anyway.

Just check the tuts... And EXPIRIMENT. Make up your own stuff... Don't make a hundred sigs that all look the same... Once you're good at one style, either expand on it, or try a different one. ;)

Pixel stretching and motion blurring the render and moving it about. Don't use blending options too much as it ruins the uniqueness of the signature.

I agree, I think you should experiment with different blending options. I also started with brushes, but now I don't even use them anymore because defaults and blending look better... but then again, I still use some brushes for a certain effect (like smoke, or motion). I also like using the motion blur behind images and text.

But I agree that you might want to check out some tutorials but don't follow them step by step - just use them as a guideline and mess around with what you think looks good! :D
