Hey everyone, I need some help from yall w/ a problem iam having w/ our clan site. I made this banner for my clan site, but unfortunetly i cannot get the size of the banner to the correct dimensions. Here how i started (iam a noob so take it easy) i got the dimensions of the banner by right clicking on the banner before i made my .psd. So i naturally assumed that the dimensions that firefox showed were correct and it would fit just fine.....but when i sent my final version to my admin to put on the site (as you can see) the banner was chopped down.... Now to my question: How can i correct the chopping of my banner when upload to the site??? Is this a file type issue, a hosting issue, or a something i didnt do to the banner in adobe??? Any help is very much appreciated....ill prolly cred you too if you fix my prob lmao.... you can view the banner and site here: http://us-clan.killerpings.com/forum/index.php Ill edit this post when i find out where my admin is hosting this or what exactly he is doing....BRC
The banners look fine to me browsing on "Fire fox & Internet Explorer. but theres a bit for white ligthen stroke on the left side? is that what you mean? on Photoshop: try to Add stroke black .
Thanks for looking, but check out the right side...it either chopps off the banner or starts to wrap it on the right....you can see where it starts to wrap notice the "uS|" starting again on the far right bottom...trying to fix that so it stay...My admin thinks its something w/ the resolution...dunno
if you read the above posts and yorue following along i spoke w/ my admin and he informed me that it cant be a hosting error caused its hosted on our server soo doubt...but he did go on to say taht the site format is PHP Nuke and said its probably got something to do w/ that. So is anyone familiar w/ PHP Nuke, that would know if this is the cause and or fix....thanks brc
your coding sets that image as a background image. background images automatically expand when its needed. try using a standard <img src='...'> code and just center it, that should fix it atleast a little.
That sounds like an answer that is correct...set it as standard and then just set the correct dimensions for the perfect fit correct????Ill let my admin know and see what happens sounds good to me mang thanks for your help bro let ya know in a bit....
btw, thats phpbb forums. your admin hasnt got the rest of the PhpNuke Content System up, and PhpNuke uses PhpBB forums. just ta let you know.
would the rest of the phpnuke system setup be part of the problem w/ the banner or was that just an fyi...thanks for the info though....will post when he gets back to me about the coding thought
