suggestion, i havnt talked to them, i dont have em on MSN and either way im on appear offline right now...

between my AIM/MSN/YIM I have over 2500 contacts (different from eachother on all 3 messengers) so when I log on i get like 40-50 messages, its just easier to take PMs from the sites i visit.

This is exactly what the recent rules cover. If you notice someone spamming use the report button, that's what it's there for. As for more mods, that's not a problem. We're doing quite well as it is with the staff we have. ;)

Also, occasionally topics stay open after a question has been answered in case a new question arises along the same lines as the one the topic started with. :D

thats fine :) atleast you didnt forget lol

    Merged Post:

there isnt a report button anymore... atleast not for me, and most of the time i report something to an smod no one ever does anyting or replies to me...

llama does more for me than any (well most of) the smods have, i can expect a response from llama atleast saying if it wasnt done and why, but i dont tend to report that much anyways...

also, i wasnt criticizing the staff, but if you look at it statistically and the amount of erm... complaints... you guys get like 25,000 posts a week, thats 3000-3500 posts a day and you only have... 18 remotely active staff? I mean even from a statistical stand point, it would make sense to add atleast like 5 more members, that or possibly promote a couple of the regular mods to super mods (or sectional even), that way they can moderate more areas.

but this isnt about the moderating team, you guys do fine. this is just about the spam issue.

Ok, so the report button is gone. Still, you can always report it to a mod via pm. I always look through pm's sent to me to make sure they have been handled. I may not reply to the person who reports it always, but if it's a topic that needs to be closed, spam to be cleaned, or someone to be suspended, I handle it in a fairly reasonable amount of time. Also, I didn't take your criticism as negative at all. We know that there is a lot of posts made every day and we do all we can to make sure it stays in order. Also, choosing staff can be rather difficult. Even though there are several applicants who would like to be staff, you have to consider their level of maturity, commitment to the site, and availability, among other things. Look at your avatar for instance, however funny it may be... it's not appropriate for a public forum.

yeah, i never used the report button because ive found it to be an issue with actually getting it taken care of, ive always directly PMed a mod, smod or admin...

    that or MSN/AIM/YIM lol

well maybe ill simply get cracking on reporting things to you guys and flooding your PM boxes with things you skipped lol

EDIT: oh and the moderator thing was a joke, i already dont have the time to admin/mod my own sites, let alone another site. if i were to give my vote to anyone i think itd be Kirbir... but yeah... next time ill see it i guess ill PM you or Girly...

I asked for the mods to crack down on the amount of people who will repeat the above person in a help topic.

Example... a credit discussion... someone will say, "PM an admin". Then about 4-5 people will also go on to say, "PM an admin". However this exists MAINLY in the general forums. Elsewhere it is appropriate, like in the resources section. It is alright for people to repeatadly post, "thanks".

But Girly and 4nubis just said to PM them if it happens... so... i think this is solved.
