If your not overclocking get value ram such as OCZ Value, if you are overclocking up your motherboard to a DFI LanParty Ultra-D. Ive had experience with that board and its a fine overclocker, nothing on the level of DFI but it does the job. And in terms of accessing files SATAII does matter.
yeah i neglected to look for OC capabilities when I was searching through... any good $1400-1500 setups that I wont have to OC immediately (id like to wait for warranty to blow over to OC it) but will be up to par prior to OCing for a little while?

Your current setup is fine for overclocking, but change the motherboard to a DFI LanParty Ultra-D and you will be set.

yup thats the motherboard, the hard drive is good. More stable, quieter. If you want a good psu get an antec Smart Power II 550W. If you want a good psu thats silent get the silverstone. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16817163111
