Ok, So I have 3 Computers, Only 1 computer is working that can access the internet. It's been a week since the internet stopped working.. Did my router die..? Or do I just have to reset it..

And I don't really want to reset it because it takes about a day for the internet to go back up.. Is that normal, Or do I need to get a new router?

Oh, And by the way, this always happen.. We end up with only one computer working, but somehow after a while, the router fixes itself or something.. Please help..

Well all I can say is a router should take only 15 seconds to come back online. Is the one computer working working with eternet or wireless?

Than all I can say is your router is having wireless problems  because ethernet can get faster connection from the routers being connected directly to it. I will let a comp freak speak ..

Actually it takes the same amount of time for my wireless and ethernet to work whenever it goes down..

thats not what he was saying. ethernet is 100 mb/s and wireless is usually maxed at 54 mb/s. plus i prefer direct connections because they are 100% stable, unless my foot kicks the cord :P.

and your problem, did this just suddenly happen, or did you do something in the router settings and/or Network Connection settings that might provoke it?

Do you keep anything on top of your router? I did and it melted a part in it. I sent it in and got it fixed (although I switched to ethernet and I have wires running though my celings :) )

I would call the company's customer support and see if they can help you. What company and model is the router?

hmm...i had a problem with my router where no computer could get access to the internet but when i got the router to ping a site like say, google, it got a response back...i figured out the problem was that my network was under a policy, preventing my computers to access the internet... so i just went into the router from my computer and took the policy off....that may be your problem...i dont know... and if your other computers are using a wireless connection you might wanna make sure that the security is set to WEP (WPA is more secure but it cuts speed) and that your WEP key on your computers is correct
