    Very nice, wish i could afford a new PC, but I think i wanna go laptop so i can go wireless in my house :).

    you can get wireless on a desktop.

    Yeh, but you can't carry your desktop around the house with you (unless you're really strong and have the worlds largest battery)

    I've heard that dual crossfire could run Fear at hi-res w/ every option enabled and hdtv enabled at 35 fps with a decent computer. Hl2 ~ 120 fps.

    If you want to play just get an AMD :P

    just one 7900gtx or x1900xtx could do that.

    my board doesnt support dual channel, so it's really only 2 512's... a hell lot better...

    UGH....Alienware=overpriced for the crappy pcs that you can get from iBUYPOWER.com for about 500-700 dollars cheaper.....

    BTW he could have gotten this for about 1-2.5k cheaper deppending.

    you mean two 3.4ghz procs.

    you realize more Ghz doesn't always mean more power though right?

    the x2 4800+ outperforms that Pentium D in almost everything, including multitasking, yet it's only 2.4 ghz.

    the architecture of the Pentium 4s and their counterparts makes each clock less effective, though it enables higher clock speeds.
