for the record, maynardstool brought smudging to GR. his silent hill sotw popularized it. although it was already being done ad nauseum over at NSL and KFD.

MT should be credited, if anyone, for bringing smudge to GR

and it's a stupid thing to argue about anyway. many of the people being mentioned can be credited for numerous trends going on or that have passed through GR

The Smudge Tool has been used in Digital Painting since it first started, and no one can argue about that. Thats what its main use is , not to make sigs , lol.

Now he might have implemented that tool into his sigs thus making it popular in the signature community. That much. He didnt invent ----.
