Dark Clean Template.

well i havnt done a dark template in awhile so this afternoon i gave it a go and this is what i have come up with so far.



this is probably one of my fav dark templates that i have done.

leaves were made with the pen tool and the dodge and burn and smudge tools they are my first leaves so no be to harsh :-D (i think i gotta sharpen them up abit)

also for the gradient i used the same style that i used in the image hosting template i made a few weeks ago and i wrote a tutorial on how to do them last week and it will be released when domeadesign goes live.

margin the text a little from the top or each header in the content boxes tho

 

add a few pics in the content boxes its kinda plain with all the text on it. but so far its lookin good

the banner text needs work

then you have way to much text on the template
fill it with some images and other stuff not just boxes

 

lmao revos i dont think i'd sell it to him :-D no i dont sell templates for creds thats pretty much the same as working for free. tho some of my templates i am going to give out as free downloads.

yes i made the leaves dodge and burn tool not as nice as beastas leaves but they are different but i might look at his tutorial and see how he did his i heard he brushed them tho.

i am not finished with the banner yet but i kinda liked the font on it maybe i will change it.

also it's a psd file still when it is coded there will be more images with the content that content will all be real in the coded version no need to waste time adding images to the psd that wont be used.

Im going to do a video tutorial for leaves soon. When doing the dodging try to use a 1px hard brush so the 'veins' look sharper and more realistic. As for the rest of the template, i like it. Just try to sharpen the rounded boxes the edges look abit blurry. The colours u've used are good i just think the content headers are abit bright. Good work

Looks pretty good, except I'm not loving the banner.

 

Looks nice, I like it. Exept the leaves in the banner looks kinda weird. Rest is nice

 

i like it alot actally but id add a menu down the side instead of having the about me section there and maby instead of the recent work have small thumbnail links about 40x40 but apart from that its good 8/10
