    can you download cpu-z and take a screenshot of the first tab and the mainboard tab. Also you may not be able to take ram from your old pc, it may be different.
    whats your budget.

    get a new motherboard, proc and ram. Rambus is overpriced.

    what is your budget?
    for 300$ I'd say:
    go to fry's get the 80$ sempron 2600+mobo combo,

    then online get a gig of DDR400 ram, and get an x800GTO PCI-e

    trust me, that P4 is crap only has SSE1, uses EXPENSIVE RAM which must be used in pairs, isn't very expandable etc. you'de need a new motherboard to use a new GFX card and that P4 wouldn't work on any new mobos.

    ===========================
    EDIT: WTF? ignore that, is your comp running at 3.06 ghz or 1.6. there are three diferent possibilities, williamette, northwood, and prescott.

    underclocking is where you run it below it's stock value. I wouldn't call it bad or anything as it's undoable, but it's best to run at the recomended value or higher.

    as for running CPUz... google is your friend.

    Well if u look a little furter down theres an Arrow at CPU#1 that goes to CPU#1 (Logical Unit), Maybe its 3.06 with both of them, since that screen only shows doesnt it
