We're not talking about what iTunes plays here, we're talking about the file format it downloads in. AAC and nothing else. And instead of actually burning a cd and ripping it, try 'burning' it to a virtual drive and rip it back off that.
or you could not download from iTunes. holy ----, what a marvel idea? erm, for all of you iTunes 'lovers', please compare the memory usage under Processes, there is the explanation why i use WMP > itunes.
or you could have moral standards and not illegally download files. holy ----, what a marvel idea? (downloading from elsewhere would be stupid also, because the DRM's on those are much harder to get off than itunes's and some CD cant be bought in stores) I get your point about the memory usage, and hell no i would not use it while playing CS, I would probally just hook up my CD player to my Bass Amp and play it out of there.
hmm... dunno what your problem with it is, im playing a movie right now and its running on 15072KB, yours runs on over 40K with just music you say? hmm.... then again i disabled like 2-4 things inside the preferences, but that shouldnt have made a huge difference.
Yeah, some people want to be honest. I find it shocking that downloading illegaly seems to be standard now.
Why waste a CD though and have to pay more money? And by easy I mean "Download, convert, and transfer" not "Download, have to wait to burn a cd, then have to go back and rip the cd, then transfer" not to mention burning to a cd then ripping results in a loss of audio quality (granted many people probably wont notice unless you're a music nut). By use a virtual drive I mean use something like the nero imagedrive and burn to that (so it thinks its burning to a cd but really isnt) then rip back from it (so it thinks its ripping from a cd). Still a more of a pain compared to the "Download, Convert, Transfer" idea. In other words, no actual disc is involved. It's still not too hard either way to get past the DRM but it keeps the RIAA happy (probably not actually, but =/ ).
