I'm not so sure my computer came with and xp disk, isnt it suppose to come with it cause i cant find mine and i really need it. All i found so far was some disk that says "reinstallation disk, this cd is not for reinstallation of programs or drivers" so im guessing that aint it right.

most of them do. you might mean a restore disc. that will bring your computer back to factory default.

fyi: disk is used for hard drives and floppies. disc is used for cds and dvds... just to let ya know..

did i say all? i said MOST....

only brand name computers (Dell, HP, Compaq, etc.) come with a restore disc. if not, you probably have an OEM XP disc...

I didn't see your post, I clicked on post reply then made new tab and quickly checked some 'important' stuff I had to do then I posted.. I'm sorry if I offended you.

If you're in need of an XP Disc just for a one time use borrow it off a friend, the 'older' PCs that have XP never came with XP CD I don't think.. a lot of my friends' older comps never came with em but their newer ones did so ya, how old is your computer?

you won't be able to activate it, since it is registered to one and only one computer... you'd need to get a new license in order to activate it. legally

unless your friend has a corporate version... which bypasses the activation...

if you guys have a cd-key, which most companies, including dell, put on a sticker on the side of the computer, then you guys can legally download windows, since you have a legal cd-key.
