How To Completly Cleanout Your Hdd?

    well i wanted to completly delete everything on my hardisks and start everything fresh again. i tried to reinstall windows but all that did was unintall everything which is quite useless for me. so how would i do this so i have a fresh new comp and what things do i need to preapre? i already have all the drivers and such basic prgrams like msn and firefox backedup, but by cleaning out everything what else do i need to look for and how would i do this?

    reboot your pc and stick you disc in straight away. then boot from the windows disc and you can then reformat.

    The fastest way to Format is Partionmagic 8.5 It also makes a copy of your good files so when you format you can put your games back on? Just a thought. :P

    Use "Low Level Format" if you really want it to be like new.

    IMP, that's kinda risky, you could mess up your hdd that way... just a simple format will get rid of everything on your hdd.

    Well, if you have the FBI at your door, That will be the best why to fix your HDD! With a Megnet. ;( ;(

    why do people post these difficult ways to format? They all do the same thing, just BOOT from the xp disc and you can format.
