    Hey there.
I was just wondering, what are the usual or standard dimensions for a template ? Recently i've been interested in making a template but i'm not even sure what size it should be.
Any help would be really appreciated. ;)

well.. it really depends on your needs an average will b about 2/3 of the page width and a bit longer than the page.

i make most of my templates widths 760-740 but the res size is starting to grow so im sure that will change within the next year or so. also height doesnt matter to much most of the time i start off with a 800x800 image so that i have plent of room to work and can even add a cool background if i want and also gives me enough height to place a full page in my template so that people can see what it would really look like with content etc.

Yay someone knows what they are doing!!

lol sorry when I used to roam this forum people used to post stuff like 1024 or 800 forgetting the scroll bar

but yes 770 is optimal for keeping all the old-timers into consideration that cba to change over to 1024

    :P Daz

i always use 799x800.... that's no problem for most monitors. a very small amount of people might have trouble viewing your website... but for most people this is the perfect size...
