well this is my first time ever getting a digital camera. i want something that i can take everyday photos with but can also take good pics that i can edit in photoshop for artwork.
i cant get anything over $250.
so i've decided on two brands, either sony or cannon, but i dont know which one is better.

so what are some good and bad things about these camera's
    which one should i get?

for example, i go to alot of air shows with my sergeant and my friends so i want a camera that i can take good pics of the airplanes but also quality pics of me and my friends just hanging out and stuff. also we have alot of award nights, and militarys balls and banquets n such.something sleek, not to bluky either

im not technical with cameras, but I personally have a cannon powershot A510 and it works fine. Although my cousin has a sony, and I like the sleekness of it

both cannon and sony are good solid companies that do well.

my grandpa has an hp camera, but i think he paid way too much for it... but, eh, its not my money... don't even know why he needs one since he stays at home most of the time... we let him do what he wants, he has alot of money saved up over the years...

I use a Sony Crybershot. It's the DSC-W30 model. I think I paid $225.00 for it I don't remember. I'm not that big on cameras either. I know it does what I need it to.
