is it possible to get a forum domain with buying a site? like i want a forum called C-mac.com is it possible that can happen? like C-mac.com, when ever you click it, it goes to the forum and it doesnt say C-mac.com/forums ??
you can place the uploaded files into the main "www" or "public_html" file and it will show at the main site rather than putting it in the "forum(s)" sub-folder, where it will be located at http://www.site.com/forum(s). as for without buying a site? im sure there are a few free webhosts that will allow you to use a domain, but in most cases youll need a paid for host.
hmm... you can just buy the forum, but your gonna need a place to upload it obviously. Are you trying to find a way to make a forum without paying for hosting or a domain? If so invisionfree and other sites like that would be your only option outside friends hosting you with full forum versions (invisionfree is modded ipb 1.3 to limit you).
Yeh, you could buy a cheap domain and have it redirect to the forum. Meaning you would still have the short domain and free forums.
