Bring Back The Gfx

Well i was thinking whats wrong with gr, why are so many people getting scammed?

Where are the gfxers?

and then thought that its becoming more of a market, so what i propose is

go to the Your Stuff and pick a topic with 0 replies and give a heartfelt comment, let him know hes at the right place for gfx.

And also give him a -rep for the effort alone, whenever someone make a sig/wallpaper/ava and posts it at the your stuff section, he/she is making an effort of bringing the GFX alive in GR.

Every member who has 150+ posts can rep 3 times a day thats alot , if u cant donate money then do this to help people get the gfx back..

I understand what you are talking about but I dont think thats a reason to give (+) rep.

 

the gfx people are going because more intermediate/professional invite only graphics sites coming around that they can do business/make graphics and be rated by non-irritating people that larger communities produce.

Im still active here, but I am far more active at a few sites with abotu 250 members that have disabled registration and the admin will create an account for whoever they invited. I find it to be alot nicer. Rather than just getting a oh "5/10, it sucks" kind of rating i get a paragraph of techniques on how to fix certain things.

Besides, alot of people get out of graphics during the school year since a majority of the people of this site are people who go to school full time and have homework, a social life, etc.

naw, it really wasnt, but just like EVERY SINGLE SITE, politics get involved, mods start quitting, experienced artists start quitting, life starts coming over people ,etc.

and it was a nice community until about member 50,000 (according to the side profile, not the board stats), after that we kept getting too many people registering that are doing nothing but trying to steal all the time.

 

but that doesnt mean we should lose hope

You are making it sound like there are thousands of scammers at GR. This is not the case - I have recently gone weeks without having one incident that I have had to take care of. Compared to the number of trades that go on at GR, there are very few that people complain about.

In 80+% of the cases, the person that got scammed will get their credits/item back again, but there are some occasions where the scammer has managed to resell the credits though that only really happens when the incident is reported late (e.g in the case of loans, which are not advised and specifically covered in the marketplace rules).

And about the Your Stuff section - this is one of the most popular sections of the forum. There are occasions where you do get 0 topic replies, but since the section is so active, your almost guarenteed to get a very quick response within minutes to most new threads which is a lot faster than many other places that you can get your artwork commented on.

 

Well for the past couple of days alot of people got scammed some do get their credits back some dont, im not implying there are alot of scammers out there, even 1 scammer can ruin it for alot of people, some people get ideas of doing what the previous scammer did.

And i know that you are very helpful and supportive but sometimes people dont get replies soon and they begin to think left out, ive seen a couple cases, and end up hating GR Admins and GR it self.

And the your stuff section is very active "but" for already established artists only, soemeone comes up with a rookie sig and it goes unreplied and we lose another part of GR, so im trying to reply as many 0 replied topics as possible because im sure someones gonna turn out good.

I have no complains i try to help, thats all.

 

Yea, and have you noticed how this site has gotten alot more of those model renders? Guess who makes them (15 year olds). This site is now for beginning kids. So yea, they went off to business.

Kazuya was right, renders are getting worse.

 

The reason GR has more scammers then other sites?
Look at the damn member count.
It's one of the biggest forums around with no major control over who's allowed in.

It can't be fixed.
So why complain

 

im not complaining ^_^ im just trying to help people get make this place a little better

 

stop kissing Kazuyas ass and trying to get one over on JK on every post, the render section is doing fine at the moment and there anre many mods that take care of the section wat is it 2 Admins, 8 Global Mods, 3 Sectional Mods thats 13 in total and they are all taking care of the render section of course not every rule breaker will be seen, its life deal with it. Kazuya I thought u were a real great guy until all this happened with Jay Kay, he does a perfectly good job and ur just jealous that hes now a higher staff member than u will ever be. Be a man and bitch about Jay Kay yourself, dont get someone else to do it for you. As the gift section goes everything is fine with it i see people posting there all the time and everytime i post something i get a reply within 5 mins which is quicker than any other forum i kno, the only forum that has a problem with People posting is the battle forum, and the mods and admins are trying to sort it out. The Market Place Is not becomeing a place where people are just being scammed and if people are scammed everything is done to try and sort it out by the staff that we are lucky to have.

 

Jesus hates scammers ..i hope they keep that in mind
