i use nero dvd drive and program to burn stuff. and its pissing me off :P

when it says done, it takes like forever to get the lead in and lead out. and when i try to burn stuff on dvd-r, it says burn process failed after a few secs of starting to burn O_O

anyway to fix this or any recommendations on what dvd-drive and program to get?

try it at a lower burn speed. depend on how big the file(s) are, the longer it takes for it to finish.

did you ever try XP's CD/DVD Burner? sometimes it works better

It's Roxio Burner, that is intigrated into windows. just drop the files into your cd/dvd drive letter, and choose file->write these files to disc

    how old is your burner?

    ahh, 2000, ok.

umm, did you try any other program than Nero?

it might be your drive dieing, or it may be that the lazer is dirty..

you can open up the cd/dvd and right in the middle there is a small circle inside a larger circle where your cd would go. gentally wipe it with a dry q-tip, put it back together, and see if it helps.
