OK I was messing around with the Battlefield 2 program file changing stats n stuff for single player and because i didnt know how to use the patches (the things like to make players look different and vehicles like cyber things) i was trying to put things out of them into the origional battlefield folder with all the seting. Well it didnt work and sometimes i loaded half a map up and it would close so I uninstalled bf2 and reinstaled. when i tried to add the patches again (ones to actualy play properly like official update 1s) it says patching and this thing comes up [IMG] and it wont work, like just keeps saying patching, it sometimes comes up when im not doing anything to do with BF2 aswell.

    Any1 know whats going on?

Norton is lying to you... It purposely installed that on your computer and will not kill it unless you buy their newest edition...

I used nortan on my other computer. It tried to scan everything comming on my computer, even if all my system resources were being devoted to doing something else already.

    I hated it.

I use avast on this computer. I havnt had a single performance slowdown like above.

they are and are even going above the expectations.

he asked what he could do to fix that problem. It was said that he couldnt fix it specifically without getting the newest version of the game, then someone recommended Avast that doesnt come up with errors that truly do not matter as well as reserve space on your computer.

Not anyone elses fault he decided to flame people for trying to help him fix his problem. Already stated that it is a pointless error that will just irritate him, and recommended a better, free program to use in place of norton's.
