Well there is always the option that you could get your ISP to provide an internal firewall. Call your ISP. They usually say they have one but really they don't because it's external. But if you can't do that you should buy one, free ones are usually very bad. I suggest the webroot Desktop Firewall http://www.webroot.com/consumer/products/d...phhud&rpc=54150 I also suggest the AVG Plus Firewall Edition, though it's quite expensive. http://www.grisoft.com/doc/AvgPlusFw/lng/us/tpl/tpl01 If you can't buy one just use the windows one or a free one. But my ISP has an internall firewall, but it means that I have to forward router ports for gaming because just forwarding a desktop firewall doesen't work. I also have to use an ISA server firewall client for my proxy. So with an internal firewall for gaming it's not the best but it can work.
well, i have Sygate Personal Firewall. But in the last few months, Symantec bought them out. So i have their last free version, and it was pretty good. I know EZ Armor Security Suite is very good for the money. i installed it on my friend's computer, he liked it much. it kept his kids from going on porn/hacking sites. it blocks it well.
If you have a router you should enable the hardware firewall (it's also called ip filtering). That, along with windows firewall, does me
