    =o This isn't your favorite live cd, but you're favorite one to have in general.

    use Fedora Code 4 on my PIII 700mhz Dell.

    Use Knoppix for hdd recovery

    used to use Mandrake

    used (K)Ubuntu twice, didnt like it

    Also used Linspire (Lindows) once...

    I've never tried linux, never tried to install it cause i'm afraid i'll mess somthin up, actually i'm sure i'd probably mess something up :rofl: , mabye if i get a hold of a crappy computer sometime i'll try it out.

    i gotta vote fedora since that is the only distribution i have used. still need some one to give me a long ass tutorial, its like a foriegn language to me :P

    I have Fedora core 4 on my laptop, and 4 live cd's of Ubuntu (they mailed em to me, along with install cd's)

    I like Fedora as it has most of the required features you need that windows has.

    You mean they sent it to you from the Ubunt website using ShipIt?

    thus far I tried fedora core 3 and ubuntu and I have had the most success with ubuntu. Ubuntu is on the whole a great OS particularly for those of limited linux understanding.

    Red Hat.... I like all versions ahead of 3... I am not too sure why that isn't up there...

    yes, actually they call it RedHat Fedora, Fedora for short...
