Aim Problem

Well, when I try to login on AIM, it says validating but then it stops and it says: Sign on failed, Try Again.
The SN and password are both corect and someone else tryed on her computer and it worked..
any suggestions??

 

check firewall settings, make sure it isn't blocked.

make sure you don't have caps on.

Try the password retrivel, maybe you mistyped someting...

 

he logged onto his account via another computer, obviously thats not the issue.

mhm, reinstall aim maybe?

 

Aim always has problems it seems. Trying checking the site for support. Or do like john suggested, couldn't hurt.

 

Uninstall and Reinstall.

And you ARE using the AIM client right? Not Trillian? I had a similar problem when I used Trillian, so I went back to AIM.

And what version AIM?

 

I use trillian, with aim and msnm. never had a problem. of course, I do use 3.1 pro... had few problems with the earlier editions, but not much now

 

I had the free editions back when it first came out. Never again will I use that program lol

 

they have improved over the years...
