The reason I made the topic was because, that is MY oppinion, I wanted yours. I am not changing my mind because someone said the price was high. Hell, I just wanted to know what you all would say about the company itself as a whole, I just posted the specs of the computer I bought because I just felt like it? Either way, thanks for replying...

The Alienware Aurora is definately AWESOME, the price tag doesn't appeal to me though.

The FX-60 is AMD's 'Top of the Line' Processor; its not even humane to compare a Pentium D to an Athlon FX. You your going to compare an FX-60 to any Intel Processor, make sure you compare it to the Extreme Editions. When you compare those two, it's quite a bit different; the FX-60 wins probably 65%-80% of the benchmarks, while the Extreme Edition grabs the latter.

The intel extreme edition will not beat a fx-60.

only cases where the PXE wins are in synthetic benchmarks which intel had a hand in devloping, and in vdeo encoding.

if you run benchmarks while gaming or encode video a lot the PXE is for you.

also on those benches, you forgot to consider the cost of cooling, you need really good water or nitrogen to OC a PXE 850mhz. but a miracle as such isn't requireed to OC an A64 300mhz

take a look at this part of the bench
    http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/cpu/displ...64-fx60_11.html

wow the x2 4800+ beats the FX 50 even though it's 400mhz slower... wow dual core does have some pros...
