the only noticable difference i see is the ability to RDC (remote desktop connect) to THAT computer that it is on. If you have Home, you can RDC to other computers, but NOT vise versa (so i last heard.) there are other differences, not major though.
stay on topic, please... @ Twiz- Pro has some extra networking things that Home doesnt have.. though, it doesnt matter because when you load on SP2, it becomes just 'XP'.
Exactly - 24x CD rewriteable and a DVD reader... I thought you wanted a DVD burner... Ah well - whatever - that's what I recommend.
I would say get one of these 0 http://www1.us.dell.com/content/products/f...s=19&l=en&s=dhs I have always seen dell laptops to be the best.
yeah pretty much your choice now. if you go with dell i would get the Inspiron E1505 Ultimate Productivity one and upgrade the hard drive to 60/80 GB and get a controller (always wanted one of those ) or you can go with that acer, both are pretty good, still think the one i recommended has better specs (100 GB hard drive etc), and Acer's are pretty reliable, my brother has had one for over a year.
Think I'll go with the Acer. it seems better all around. do ya know of any reviews on this? I can just search on google, but do you know specific places?
AMD Mobile Sempron 3300+ Sempron speaks for itself. Merged Post: its also not that great of a laptop with the other things, sharing graphics memory with 512 RAM running at 333 Mhz. short battery life
I doubt personally you can get a 2ghz with 1 gb of ram for less than 1000$ ... Laptop cost much more than desktop computer from what I know O.O
like don't i know... John, Im getting your suggestion. I dont really care if it is slightly more than 1,000. Also, do you know if that is sold at stores, such as bestbuy, curcuit city, etc? edit: found one review... http://reviews.cnet.com/Acer_Aspire_5672WL...7-31678912.html edit2: and found this, a thorough review, very informative... http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?...tebook+Computer
checked bestbuy.com and they dont even sell acer. circuit city doesnt sell any laptops will Core Duo yet. Seeing these other prices from other 'wannabe' newegg's (being like +$250), i wouldnt even look at hardware stores, just newegg
yeah, just to see if i can save on S&H thats all... I'll buy it from newegg then. my first ever computer with dual cpu I cant wait... I can hold off 64-bit for awhile. almost no game works in it anyway...
