as long as U own windows, downloading a copy off p2p is legal...so do so, format the whole thing completly, this will not only remove every bit off crap off there, but sort out sectors etc.

After installing, before conencting to the net, ensure U have an upto date virus checker (download and burn the latest databases off the net), firewall and spyware, running before connecting.

    Also use firefox..less viruses etc.

If everything else fails....buy a mac

    :P Daz

Zone Alarm is more than a Firewall.. If you get the security package, it includes av, and some other stuff

or get linux. free for life...

wth is he talking about 'update from microsoft..'?. of course you get updates, service packs, anything you want. i have never bought a version of windows (but i do own a real version of XP home, aunt works for school board, she gets all teh ----). is there some great thing microsoft gives to the actual buyers of microsoft products (aka morons :P, with the exception of their games, blizzard etc.)

seriously, unless you are so stupid that you post an illegal movie on a torrent site and it is hosted from your IP at home, the FBI wont be catching you.

I didn't mean Norton, sorry. =P I hate Norton, I just wrote that cause I was on my moms computer and Norton popped up while I was writting it. It was Avast Anti-Virus, although we downloaded other stuff to try. -shrug-

He left, XD, the only thing we accomplished was dual-booting it with Fedora Core.
