Most people, believe it or not, have this on some level. I have it and I'm kind of curious what little... quirks do you guys have. One of mine is that I always take off that little plastic ring from a Gatorade bottle along with the label. I can't drink it without taking it off and if I see one near me I just can't seem to concentrate unless I take both of them off.

I've had a lot more then this one and I found that simply talking about it helps me overcome it. Anyone else have something like this? I don't think anyone's as bad as Monk lol but most everyone I talked to has some kind of little thing.

And just to let you guys know, OCD doesn't reffer to a superstition that you have. It's a ritual or habit that you don't like to do and yet it makes you feel uncomfortable, very uncomfortable and almost scared until you do it.

I right click a whole lot on a page. When I get on my computer I always right click over and over along the desktop before I click on an icon. I just don't feel comfortable unless I do it.

Actually this comes in handy. I have a very good attention to detail and I usually obsess over projects until I get them perfect. That's why I try to keep the things I do to a low number because I've been known to stay up days at a time (3-5) doing nothing more then a project for school or essay until it's EXACTLY the way that I like it. The only thing (thank God) that hasn't forced me to obsess over is Graphics. I know it seems like I would obsess over every single detail but it actually relaxes me and I don't stress over a sig or wallpaper.

I believe obsessive compulsive disorder is where you want EVERYTHING perfect, for example, when you put down the TV remote you have to have it at EXACTLY the right angle, you have to drink something in the PERFECT way you always do. I used to havee this obsession when putting down a pen or pencil but I got over it. Believe it or not, there was a documentary made about it, and it was shown on the TV just the other week.

No that's not OCD, it's part of OCD. Obsessive Compulsive Disorder is when you need something to happen in order to feel comfortable. You worry about something minute and insignificant until it is done. Like counting seven white cars until you can enter a building or placing your key in and out of the door three times before you can turn it or having to count every door you walk past or not touching any lines in a tile when you walk, things like that the list is infinite.

It's not just perfection but that's part of it.

One of the worst for me is when one of my teachers erases something off the dry erase board. I always look away when they do it because if I see them erase and they leave some tiny little spot on there and they continue writing... I'll go up to the board and erase the speck otherwise my mind focuses on nothing but the spot and I can't concentrate. If I look away and I see a spot I'm fine but if I see him/her miss it... it just takes over.

I have gone up to the board God knows how many times just to erase some tiny little speck that just annoys me.
