Ati X1900xt Or Evga 7900gt

I am looking for the best video card for my custom built system, http://www.gamerenders.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=199783 , So, which one of these two cards do you think is better?

 

as I said over msn, get the 7900GT, for the money it's the better buy. I mean by the time it is obsoleted, the 7900GTX will also be obsolete and you save 200 bucks.

either that or get the x1800XT and a crossfire motherboard, but the 7900GT and the DFI Ultra D is great in congunction with each other, lots of options for the future.

But you cannot compare the x1900xt with teh 7900gtx, you have to use the x1900xtx.

Well, I'd say if you have the money, get the x1900xt, its much faster than the 7900gt.

 

well if he has the money, why not get the 7900GTX, its faster then the x1900xt, and a bit faster then the x1900xtx (on used resolutions) on extremely high resolutions(....not playable though) the x1900xtx wins.

 

if you read the benchmarks.. 7900gt outperforms 1900xtx...

 

Depends on what, on 3dmark06, the 1900xt still wins from the 7900gt, not the gtx though.
