I am thinking about getting World of Warcraft, but I have a few questions. 1. Is there any free trial available without purchasing the game? 2. If I use the Game Cards, will I EVER need to use a Credit Card? I just don't want to have to bug my parents with there Credit Card if I am not even going to use it, I am using Game Cards.
Answer 1: Yeah, if you have a friend, borrow his disks and he'll have a 10 day free trial for you to try out! Answer 2: I am not sure... I don't think so.
i believe when u first buy the game u get a 1 month trial and when u setup ur account on the website it gives u an option to pay through credit card or pre paid game cards. mezoni.
no in order to get the 1 month u have to buy the month recurring... so u get 2 months for the price of one.
So the only way to get a free trial is if i have a friend that lets me use his game? And I don't have to have a credit card?
That's right. 1. When you buy the game you get some disks and a trial card for a friend. The trial card is valid for one friend. If you have a mate who has the game and has never given out his trial card, he can lend you the card (and the disks) and you can create an account. Otherwise, no - there are no free trials off the website etc. I hope that cleared that up. 2. Right again - you never have to use your credit card to top up if you don't want to. Once you have the game you need to top up your account from their website to keep using it. From their website there are options both to pay with a credit card and pay with game cards. Paying with a credit card will auto-bill you for uninteruppted playing. However, if you want to use game cards, you can. You have to go to the shops and buy a game card. It will have a code on (I think - I don't use them) that you type into your account to add that much play time to your account. You have to do this everytime you want to top up (i.e. you're running out of days). Hope that clears everything up. Enjoy!
you could always download wow or borrow it from a friend then play on a private server.. http://www.wowstatus.net/
