    No.
Logic isn't whats saving us, it's whats killing us.

Sure, we can protect against viruses better, and we handle natural disastors better. But compare the amount of people killed in wars compared to the amount saved, and what do we use in war? Guns, Tanks, Bombs. How did we make them?

    Logic.

However in todays world when everybody has nukes and such, the reason they are not used is mutually assured destruction which is logically based.

Logic is really to vague to define it as a good or a bad.

"I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use." ~Galileo Galilei~

This quote speaks for itself. And the reason we have Guns, Tanks, Bombs etc. it's because of human nature. It's not a matter of evil it's a matter of what is instilled in our very soul. The reason man goes to war is the exact same one that a mother Lion will tear the flesh off of any living thing if it gets near one of its cubs.

And yeah it's the exact same thing but on a grander scale. Humans are a lot more advanced and therefore effect the planet on a grander scale.

Also you just helped prove a point FOR logic.

"we can protect against viruses better, and we handle natural disastors better. But compare the amount of people killed in wars compared to the amount saved, and what do we use in war? Guns, Tanks, Bombs. "

Equilibrium. We protect against disaster and viruses... we basically NEED a way to counter that. I'm not saying that I'm happy we go to war and that people die by handguns and cars every single day in this world but it's, believe it or not, nature. It's how we create a balance. I'll admit, it's a very fragile balance... but it's still there and you can't deny our need for it.
