I have recently installed the invision gallery 2.0.5 on my powerboard, and pretty much know about all of the settings except for a couple. My question is this.....

What setting do I have to change to make it so that when a member clicks on a thumb-nailed image for a render, it goes directly to the actual rendered image ready for the member to download, instead of it going to the rendered image with a background automatically added to it? It is getting quite annoying when I upload a rendered image in .png format with a nice transparent background, but when I click the thumbnail to the newly uploaded image, I come to the image with a nice new black background added. Does anyone know what settings I have to change to fix this? Thank You.

I have no expierence in Invision Gallery, you'd better ask support on these sites:
    forums.invisionpower.com
    invisionize.com

Try searching their forums, you problem was probably already asked by someone else.

Actually I have found out something about getting it set up properly. Go into Admin CP>Components>Invision Gallery>Settings>Image Settings, Image Suite. Then you must select a new image suite to use by switching from GD 2.0 to an ImageMagick path.

The GD 2.0 has a ton of issues with maintaining transparent backgrounds, and pretty much just flat out can't handle the load. All you have to do is contact your web host , and request a full path to ImageMagick, which they will supply you with, and then change your settings in the gallery admin cp from there. You will then have to re-upload all of your renders that you want to display, but your guests and members will then be able to right click and save the original .png formatted file with the transparent background still intact. :D
