Mainstream hip hop now is doing what it is supposed to. provide a good beat to dance too and to entertain...underground hip hop is a creative spin on the whole genre..the artists have transformed the main beats into a song with meaning. It all depends on what you like.

Ok, lol well... I'm a big fan of rap, along with many other forms of music. Rap is the highest, but other types I enjoy are rock, old school rock, parody, metal mixed with rap, blues, techno, and oldies. I'm also a big fan of the piano in any music lol. So don't think I'm trying to say rap is superior and that all other music sucks, because I clearly like others. I think everyone has their own style they favor though, mine would be rap. And no, some songs and artists are actually smart. Some to look for are: Lil Wayne Kanye West The Game Nas KottonMouth Kings and even...Eminem. Most of his music is about how publicity was hating him, but sometimes it differs in his music lol. Just like some people think rap is ---- and doesn't make sense and sounds like a guy eating a lemon and trying to spell the alphabet as fast as he can, some people have feelings about other music. Im gonna talk about metal though, because it seems most who like metal arent amazed or fond of rap. I think metal is about some guy screaming into a microphone headbanging and swinging his girl hair. We all have our opinions though, so theres no reason in fighting which genre of music is the best. But i just wanna say, wearing makeup, being a guy, and saying your life sucks and its not worth living, isn't the type of music I think most people should be listening to. Just like people say rap isnt good to listen to because of "violence, gangs" some of its good, so im guessing theres a good side to emo music too. Lol i bet some people could agree with me though, wearing a makeup and being a guy with all black clothes on and having rings all over you isn't very attractive. Neither is oversized clothes that look like your floating, but hey, everyone has their own style. limp bizket>u ^_^

If you dislike Rap, or anything for that matter, be respectful about it. The one thing that kills me is when i hear someone say something sucks.
