This is a picture of the greatest outfielder who has ever roamed. He is loved by nearly every Minnesotan and many others. He played 12 seasons. Ten of which were all-star seasons. He won six gold gloves, five silver sluggers, and one batting title. A career .318 hitter who led the league in Hits 4 times, TB twice, RBIs once, and At Bats twice. He is the all-time twins leader in hits, at bats, runs, doubles, and total bases. He made a game saving catch and hit the game winning homer in the bottom of the 11th in the 6th game of the greatest world series ever played in 1991. I could go on and on about the stats of his career, but the most important aspect of his life is that he inspired millions. He mentored many current/past twins into their roles of a major league baseball player and in life. He won the Roberto Clemente award in 1996. He was elected into the Hall of Fame in 2000, on his first year of eligibility. He is the reason baseball is my favorite sport and i play it the way i do. He will be missed greatly. We Love You and We always will. R.I.P. Kirby Puckett There will NEVER be another like you.
Kirby Puckett was the man. Its weird ---- when people you grew up watching die. Specially when they are still young ass hell. People his age are still playin ball.
that f'n sucks, i'm not a twins fan but remember their 1987 and 1991 world titles. this man is a god in Minnesota, truely a loss to the sports world. RIP.
Heh...Kirby Puckett... I remember him as one of the legends who weren't really noticed among the people until now. RIP.
I'm not American and don't know anything about baseball, but sorry to hear about his death. RIP - Gibson
