I think we're here to talk about the WMP problem not if Windows or Mac is better. STOP SPAMMING

i have the same problem, i do not believe that its spyware because it does happen to most of the media players. Nothing in the Options is checked on, i checked it out 5 times. I will try and reinstall see if that makes it go away

Good news I figured a quick fix. I just made wmp the default for avi files, nothing else. Now I don't seem to have the problem anymore.

The reason he had that problem is because he had the the photo gallery set as the default program to open .avi files.

Yeah it might be spyware, get microsoft antispyware or windows defender free from www.microsoft.com then run them and see if it finds any...

Lol, that's no where near the reason I think Windows Sucks. I would never look down on a computer for it being full of trojeans, worms, adware and stuff like that. I'd look down on the owner of the computer being an idiot and getting that stuff.

However, back on subject have you ever thought about just using a different media player? IEven if you've fixed the problem it might be worth your while to look into another media player. www.winamp.com , or iTunes for example.
