i managed to install the same copy of windows on two machines, both with the same CD key. Im able to download updates from the updates website, I can validate my windows installation on both computers without any problems, so as far as Im concerned I just got a free copy of Windows XP. Theres nothing that I cant do on either machine that someone else can. (BTW it was only a single licence cd).

Usually when people crack windows, they still arent allow to go to windows update, or install programs like MICROSOFT ANTISPYWARE BETA, or upgrade to service pack 2 but I guess I was able to do all that.

    Nice.
I actually have about 20 different windows cd's laying around my desk.

Everything from the first versions of vista "aka longhorn" to corperate and xp pro. I've tested all of them except windows media center, and they've all worked :)

or you could just buy the same motherboard on your comp and make windows think that you're doing that.

It doesn't work like that. And why buy the same mother board just to run an app? That wouldn't really be cost effective.
