well, my internet pretty much works fine, but if I leave my computer on for more than 12 hours, my internet stops working. I can log on to AIM and MSN, but none of my browsers work. Firefox just doesnt load, and my IE goes to that action canceled screen. When I restart my computer it goes back to normal, but it's annoying. Any Ideas on what's wrong?

Could be a virus or something...

Try going into a bit more detail...

If your running a firewall. It could be that also. Mine pc shuts down all internet activity if idle more than 15 mintues. Also could be your router. Has it always done this? Or just started?

I am using a router that wirelessly connects to my other computer's internet downstairs.

It's not a virus, because I scan weekly.

I have a firewall, but I don't know if that is whats cuasing it.

Well the internet connectivity still works when using AIM or MSN. It could be that your system is blocking scripts or active x controls that your browser needs. Check your router's configuration, see if stops any scripts after a certain idle period.

It is the router, i used to have problems like that all the time, the programs like AIM work but IE doesnt, How many computers do you have connected to your router? I would call the router company and ask them for help.
