Capitalism appeals more to me than communism. I don't really have any reason behind this but i guess it all comes down to a matter of opinion. The money involved with capitalism entices me alot.
All in all, communism is the BEST ideology. However, when put into practice it has many flaws. First, the lazy people get the same amount as the hard workers. Next, there is no motivation into making people go ahead. However, if this fails so easily, how come America was so afraid of it? This is why I follow my own ideology: Jaferism. This is a mix between capitalism and communism. Everybody gets same basic needs, however the hard workers prevail, and the loosers will stay at the very bottom. There will be a very little difference between the rich and poor.
modifed capitalism all the way... just break up trusts a ----load add yuou have the perfect capitalist system
yea, ive been taught a little bit about Marx and his ideals, they definelty appeal to me, i believe capitalism might fail eventually... but really, what i think every type of government depends on, is who is that government. Really, any type of gov can work if the leaders are right, a "dictatorship" could work if the dictator was an ideal person, but that has not happened yet george bush and the current government of the U.S is horrible, putting our nation in millions, billions of debt, it will take a strong liberal in my opinion to better our current situation, imo, the quicker the bush administration is out, the better... just my opinion, so both capitalism and "communism" can work
neither Communism, good in theory doesnt work in practise Capatlism, doesnt value people only money so that kinda sucks a mix between the 2 extremes with more rational thoughts would be better
For those who trash Communism: Communism never existed. All the countries who 'were communistic' were dictatorships. Those havent got anything to do with communism. Read the books
Wow, its strange to have a real conversation on something interesting here! Anyways, I think they both have thier flaws. With capitolism, you sometimes just can't make the best out of a situation. Basically, you just start at the bottom...and stay at the bottom. Maybe if america had a better education system, it would be more possible for those born at a "disadvantage" to find thier way out of it. On the other hand with Communism, your pretty much stuck...reguardless of how smooth it may run if ran correctly.
Both capitalism and communism have their pros and cons, but neither is perfect... Capitalism allows for incentive and the growth of a free-market policy, but it leaves also the chance for monopolies to show up and crush the competitors... Communism allows protection to business owners and (supposedly) evens out everyone's income; but it hinders incentive and bridles back the growth of the economy. In my opinion, capitalism is the lesser of two evils, but in order to have a sturdy economy, I believe it is neccesary to have elements of both capitalism and communism blended together...
Capitalism...although I recognize that as a capitalist economy we can still have problems. Communism only recognizes the needs of the common people as a whole, while Capitalism looks at the individual.
I would have to say that overall, I would prefer Capitalism. Capitalism encourages the education of the populace therefore allowing them to reach higher positions in their jobs and earn more money. It also allows the option for monopolies to arise and take over their area of business. Capitalism encourages work ethic among the people to earn their wages and keep their life going. Communism however is good in practice, but when it comes down to it, will always fail to capitalism. Communism is the idea that the government owns everything and spreads the resources and money of a country out to the whole populace, making sure everyone has the same amounts as everyone else. When Marx wrote Communist Manifesto, all of the ideas presented in that book were great ideas. His models of societies and the steops he had that a country must go through to reach communism were brilliant. But he forgot to calculate the one human thought and emotion that would make that system fail: Greed. His system would have worked great, until the doctors who went through years and years of schooling to master their profession get sick of getting paid as much as some high-school dropout that works at a gas station. The communist system will never work in today's society where everything has a monetary value and everyone is looking to make as much money as possible.
Yeah, that's true. Communism doesn't seem fair to me though, so capitalism I guess. Even though capitalism may seem better, they both have their good and bad points.
But your not superior... I'd like a mix of communism and capotilsm (sp?) See, I hate people who have loads of cash, and do F--- all for it. Celebrities all deserve to be robbed of 90% of their money, even then they'll be better off then everyone else. It's just wrong...
Nice try at being funny but that isn't a true communist state, theres NEVER been a true communist state.
