Resumes are simple to do if you follow instructions but I have one done this year. I forgot what site I used to make it.

Resume's at 16 aren't too much to worry about, they aren't expecting too much from you. Poke around google and you'll find some useful stuff.

A real brief overview of whats on mine is:
    -Contact info
-Education (include GPA or whater grading system your school uses)
-Work Experience (if any, don't worry if you have none at 16)
-Leadership/Activites (any extracurricular groups/sports teams, be sure to list if you are an officer/captain in any of them)
-Skills and Interests, this ones a little tougher to classify, but I have:
    Computer Skills:
    ▪ Financial Analysis Software: Proficient in FactSet
FactSet Training seminars attended: FactSet Foundations, Company Analysis,
FQL Spreadsheet Reports, and Equity Screening Reports
    ▪ Advanced user of Microsoft Windows: Excel (Certified Microsoft Office User Specialist), Access, Word (70 wpm), PowerPoint
    ▪ Accounting Software: QuickBooks Premier, Peachtree, Creative Solutions
    ▪ Statistical software: JMP-IN, eViews
    ▪ Programming languages: Proficient in VBA, SQL, Java, HTML
    ▪ Web Design: Proficient in Macromedia Dreamweaver, Macromedia Flash, Macromedia Fireworks
Language: Proficient in Spanish, Some experience in Latin
    Interests: Soccer, Running, Philosophy

    Hope this helps.

Again, at 16, they aren't expecting really much of anything in your resume. For my first job, I had to apply (basic contact and health info), pass a physical test and have a 3 or 4 minute interview. That job was lifeguarding, and I'd give anything to be able to spend my time working on the beach again lol

The volunteer work is a good idea, I forgot how useful that could be, especially as you prob. don't have much work experience yet.

That's pretty much a summary of all that you need. Include personal achievements as well, such as awards that you've recieved and so on. It'll make you look good as well as impress the employer.
