Hey, I know a lot of you have like networking classes at school and such. My question is on dial-up such as aol, how often do the ips change. I know they do, i'm just wondering is it random like every few hours, everytime you connect, or like daily? I'd really appreciate any information on the subject from anyone willing to take the time.

AOL doesn't assign you an IP address period, it just has a generic one that everyone uses that's a cache address.

With dialup, it usually changes every time you connect.

Q: Why are you still using dial-up?
