    hi!, this is my first tut ever so bare with me:) ill try to explain stuff as good as i can even though there might be alot of type-os. Lets get started!

    This is what we will be making.

    [IMG]

    First you start out making what ever size of picture you want, i used 640x480.

    Start out by making some cloud filter>render>clouds.

    Now lets change the color a little press, CTRL+U to change the color, and make it.

    hue = 29
    saturation = 29
    lightness = 0

    Dont forget to press colorize.

    Now duplicate this layer and set the blending option to luminosity.

    You should have two layers now, lets move on now.

    Now that we have two layers lets go make another one .

    I used a satalite picture of a hurricane.

    Great now that you have the picture lets put it in the picture your actully making!.

    When you have the picture in there, change the blending mode to color burn.

    This might look a little bright yes, but if you duplicate the same layer and put it on top the other layer, It will be more darker. I cut the same picture up and put it different places so i would have lighter and darker areas, I suggest you do the same if you want the same results, this can take some time

    Great, now that you are done we can move on, lets make a contrast layer!, go to layer>adjustment layer>brightness/contrast and put theese numbers in.

    brightness = +33

    contrast = -31

    Set this blending mode to overlay.

    Duplicate the same layer dont change the blending mode.

    Now that you have a very red picture, lets change all that shall we?

    Make another layer and fill it with this color code.

    00E7FF

    Set this layer to soft light.

    Getting better huh ? but I missed that little red color a little when i was making the picture Burning Sky, so i added a light red layer to it

    So now make a new layer and fill it up with this color code.

    9F606E

    And set that layer to soft light aswell.

    after all that i put on some stars and some other stuff as the light beam.

    I really hope you all could bare with my spelling and the way to put things, since im not from America.

    If you want you can show your results in this thread aswell, good luck and have fun!
