SOCOM Fire Team Bravo is a start of proving that Zipper can do more than just online play. Most, who think that since Zipper when creating the Socom series has put more work into the online features of the games, will be blown away with this game. Because when I first started playing this game I figured it would be mostly be an online and nothing else kind of game. I was completely wrong; both features are almost equal in gaming play. Although each have there own flaws it makes for one hell of a game. The single-player campaign stretches across 14 missions. Each in different areas including: Chile, Morocco, South Asia, and Poland. The latter three areas overlap with the campaigns from SOCOM 3 on the PS2, which plays into the cross-talk functionality of both games. So that the games can connect to each other and unlock suites and extra's on the U.S. Navy Seals SOCOM 3. It's the first time the PSP and a PS2 Games have hooked up to unlock features within each other. Some of it is for the Single Player Modes and the rest is for the Online Game.

A neat little feature that is my favorite is the "free look" mode. Its allows you to gain even more control over your accuracy in your shot. But Zipper does such a great job with making the controller for the psp work for the game except for trying to form the psp into a ps2 controller.

A weak spot in SOCOM is the overall graphics and the Enemies AI. Unlike the previous games the Accuracy and hit total is allot higher for the Enemies. As such they use there numbers wisely and come at you all at one time. The problem is that they often get stuck behind walls, which seriously gets annoying because you can be extremely stealthy and then you see a gun pop out of a wall and bam you’re dead...very annoying.

Now to the Online Features of this game. The online interface is very similar to the one used for SOCOM 3, offering leader boards, clans, message boards, news, friends lists, and more. Online modes include standard team deathwatch (called suppression), extraction (hostage rescue), free for all, demolition, and the oddly named captive mode. You can play the game with up to 8 to 16 players using Ad-Hoc. First of all there are 12 playable maps and entering the lobby you can join or create a match and play a good variety of game modes. Apart from the usual last-man-standing matches there’s extraction to defend your base-type modes. So you don't get stuck with the same kind of battles every single time. But a great strong point to the game is that when playing in a full room the lag isn't bad at all such as previous games made by Zipper.

Overall this game is a great buy and probably going to stay in the top 5 of the best games to buy for the PSP. I recommend this game highly since not only do you have none stop action in single player mode but when you hit the online world it just keeps getting better.

Great game if you can find/have a good connection. Cuz when I play it in hotspots Ive noticed it can be quite laggy, but with a mic its awesome.
