Anybody here have it? I play that like crazy, right now im in three different Dynasty modes with Toronto, Phoenix and Calgary. Never tried online but its something i'm looking forward to doing. Main point of this thread is to discuss how over the 8 years what the NHL series has changed.
'98- It had some pretty sick gfx for a hockey game back then but wasn't all that good
'99- They really beefed up the menus and the capabilities, not to mention the game modes expanded.
2000- Only played it once, but with what i played it wasn't all that great for an NHL series
2001- Very big upgrade since the former three games introducing some expandable game movements
2002- Not very original more of a 2001 copy with updated rosters
2003- This is when it began to pick up some new enviromentals to the game
2004- I believe it was either this one or the '03 game that introduced the dynasty mode or fantasy mode letting you be the general manager and coach at sometimes.
2005- Well gfx too a step up and so did the soundtrack this was one of my favourite game soundtracks
2006- This years game is just as good graphics as most other games out there, it has everything from its previous 7 and it continues to shock me everytime i play it.

This series seems to be picking up a pretty hefty pace probably one of the best gaming series ever.

the nhl series by EA are amazingon how its evolved through the years, graphics are really good and the best part about 06 is the dekes!!!

If you didn't like hockey in the first place, why post here? That's why you're an idiot I belive. I've seen you done the same thing in other threads too.

I got NHL 2k6, it's alright. Pretty fun but one problem for me.. On pro difficulty, it's too easy for me.. But on the higher difficulty level, it's too hard. Hahaha, the drama.

I like the NHL 06 a lot, but it wasn't compatible. So I had to settle with NHL 2K6 which is a lot of fun.

I'd recommend you buying Nhl 2k6. The only reason why I'd buy 06, would be for the dekes.

haha i love playing my old nhl games for N64

and i also played like madden 95 (i think) a couple of weeks ago :D

if you think, that was 10 years ago, look at the graphics then, imagine what the next generation will have for games
