Theres no way hes in a black suit. its the nighttime overlay effect, and the overall darkness suggests an extreme state of sadness or depression, along with the rain.
Gotta agree with that along with the costume looking the same as the red and blue version. The Symbiote Spidey has visible changes that differentiate from the original outfit. So it's just the rain, night theme casting on the suit to make it look black, yadda yadda. At least to me it seems that way.
If Venom is in it, then I think he'd only be in at the very end when the Symbiote is released from Parker's body and then crawls onto the nearby Eddie Brock. I don't think with Sandman and Harry Osborn (goblin enemy that they might pick up) that Venom will have enough time onscreen. They shouldn't anyways, they should leave Venom action for Spideman 4.
I agree with Acid Glow, and even if venom is in the movie, Spiderman would have to difficult of a time beating all three...So it would sorta be stupid if there was more then two.
Sony hasn't been completely faithful to the comic so I wouldn't be surprised to see some minor changes like that. Plus, if you go to the site they say it's not a black and white picture but Spiderman is really wearing a black suit. Which either means symbiote (best bet) or that armor suit. Also, it was said somewhere that the movie would've made an 06' release if it weren't for the heavy CGI useage. And there are plenty of sources stating Topher Grace is playing Venom. Even a Topher Grace fansite. So, right now as far as I'm concerned the symbiote would be the best bet. Hell, in 2 they could have started it because of Jamenson, it fits the cartoon shows Venom introduction perfectly. As for Harry, for some reason I see him helping out Spidey with Sandman and Venom. Probably because of Kirsten Dunst's statement of two and a half villains.
Seriously.. i'd place bets on it being a new suit. hes been infected with this thing and he gets to like it but it takes over his mind and he gets all hormonal. /me out. Lets see in may 07 but who cares cos I hate spiderman >_> I just like proving a point

black suit poster, i think tells us that venom is going to be in it, but spidey is still going to be in a red suite.

It was like a mini series...So anyways...Thats where Peter Parker gained his black suit by an getting this black orb. Its gonna be kinda hard to explain that in the plot unless they have another way of doin it
