The hockey final in the olympics is gonna be a great game against two teams with alot of history. Sweden and Finland has awlays been arch enemies when it comes to hockey they have always loved the (few :P) times they have beaten Sweden (Im from Sweden :D) and Sweden have always been triggerd by the amount of heart the finns have shown when the two teams meat, and also hate loosing and love to win.

The two countries have alot of history not just in the hockey rinks but I wont say anything about that you finns and Swedes know what Im talking about. But on the ice Sweden has the advantage of winning more then the finns a game that has become a classic in Sweden a game were Finland was ahead by 4 goals (5-1) and Sweden beat them with 5-6 in the end. :D BUt Finland won against Sweden in the quarter finals in Nagano 1998 and was in the final in the Worldcup, so Sweden has to prove once again that they are better then Finland.

This olympics Finland has been great not lost a game, this cuz none of the other teams have shaken Finland mentally but if there is one team that could do that it is Sweden. It will be a great game I think it will be even. 2 great golies Henrik Lundqvist maybe hasnt the best stats so far but I belivie he is a better golie anyways and I hope Niittymaki will have a bad day on Sunday. Sweden has been playing better and better but have to step up some more to match the game the finns play atm. But Sweden has the material, the players who can do incredible stuff, like Peter Forsberg, Mats Sundin, Daniel Alfredsson, Niklas Lidström, Henrik Lundqvist and so on..

Annyways post your thoughts about the olympics concerning hockey here. Any finns/swedes at GR please post what you think the game on sunday is gonna be like :D

I am REALLY exited about this game, I'm a swede and I think they are gonna win. But the finish looked really strong against Russia yesterday. But Sweden Looked EVEN stronger against Chech Republik.

Wow, good find? If anyone needs a definition of spam they should be directed to your post.

As for the game, I think it's gonna be a good one. Everyone knows Sweden is a powerhouse. But Finland is extremely under-rated. They're not getting the respect they should be getting. I think Finland might pull this one out, but it will be close. 1 goal game for sure. 3-2 or something.

I'm still pissed about Canada's poor performance. What a joke.

i think that finland wil win. nittymaki is playing amaziing. i wonder why esche is the starter for the flyers instead of nittymaki. however sweden also has lunquist (the rangers goalie) and they have lots of firepower, and now that forsberg is playing it will add to that firepower.

    Finland 4-1 over Sweden....i think

I don't mind who wins this, as I'm not Finnish or Swedish :P But my vote would probably go to Finland anyway, they seem underrated.

SWEDEN FTW!! Im from Sweden, and we will own the poor Finish guys. :) (No offence all Finnish ppl here.)

I think it will be 4-3 to Sweden. This in the periods:

    Sweden - Finland | 1st Period.
    1-1

    Sweden - Finland | 2nd Period.
    3-2

    Sweden - Finland | 3rd Period.
    4-3

    :D
