No clue what type of fan... and I don't want to open the case 'cause whenever I do somethign to the computer it *BEEEP* up.
lol - It might be a intrusion alarm then Is ir a fairly new case? coz if it is it might be wired to a Intrusion beeper hehe
yep, I accidentially chipped one blade off my cpu fan while moving wires around. It made it sound like a screaming yeti... so I bought a new one, and while it waited, I replaced it with an extra case fan, and glued it on, since i had bought a heatsink/fan combo.
Some compressed air would help out alot. Just use it on the heatsink of your CPU. I bet you that there's ton's of gunk in there. I usually take my comp apart once a year and clean it out. It's good for the life of your system if you regularly clean it maybe every few months.
whats wierd is, now i think its my Hard Drive, Maybe also combined with my CPU. My CPU is AMD Sempron - I buil the computer by myself. My case is a thermaltake and it has those easy, slide out things inside of them that you can screw the harddrive in and then slide it back in. You can try taking off the sides of the case and listening to which it is...xP or taking out the HD and running it on another if u got the time to see if its that.. it could just be the cpu fan....you can try getting a new one.
on my old comp there was a lound hum, turns out a couple of screws were loose and the mobo wasnt secured into the case tightly in a couple of spots and it would cause that hum
It might be something as simple as some cables are catching in fans, or some screws are loose. Check all your cables and tighten all your screws in your case
Okay, I looked at my mother board and noticed that im missing a couple screws in it, like 2 or 3. Could that be what makes the noise?
It could be...thats what the other kid claimed make sure you dont put them in too tight tho, that can damage it. How long have you had this computer? Make sure there are no wires in the way.
