    Yup it's what I have to do.
    Because my brother realized I can't even reinstall Windows.

    I am getting the new hard drive 2morrow. So once I get the new hard drive, can I move all the files I want on to that?

    Then what. Do I install Windows XP to that and then delete everything in the other hard drive (reformat)?

    btw, I REALLY HATE THIS. I've created such a long thread and wasted some much of my time and of the people who have tried to help me.

    try this
    dl-http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/files/killbox.php

    ok, now go into safemode,
    start>run>regedit
    find this key
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionRun

    now find

    "syslogin.exe" = "syslogin.exe"
    delete it

    now find
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\NDISRD
    delete it

    now go to kill box and go to tools>find and put in dl.exe. kill & delete it when prompted

    you should be ok now

    put your files you want to keep on the new hdd using Knoppix. put it away, format the old hdd, put XP on it. attatch your new hdd. leave the stuff on your new hdd so you dont have to grow through this sh!t again.
