Here is a review I wrote for GameFAQS.com:

Animal Crossing: Wild World is the second installment for the Animal Crossing series. This time it is on the Nintendo DS, which is a big reason why this game far outplays the original.

    Gameplay: 9

    Pro -

This game is all about pure fun. No objectives, no deadlines, no timers, just fun. You do what you want when you want. The freedom to do anything is what makes this game great. Upon creating your town and character, you are put into a virtual world with unlimited possibilities. Although there is no real goal to this game besides living a virtual life, paying off your house loan is a focus for most players. In order to earn money to pay off your debt, you can do a number of activities to earn money. Activities such as fishing, bug catching, fossil searching, and even building orchards bring in a great sum. After you pay off your house you have the option of upgrading it. You may continue to do this until it becomes a huge mansion. This gives you more room to furnish your house with furniture and items. There is a huge amount of things you can purchase in this game, and since some items are seasonal it will take you at least a year to get every one, but that is not all.

The biggest addition from the GC to the DS version (and definitely the best) is the option to play with others via DS to DS and Wi-Fi. This means that you will be able to visit and chat in a friend's town no matter where they live. It also provides a great way for collecting rare fruit and getting top dollar for turnips! In order to visit a friends town you must get his friend code, name, and town. After he/she does the same you may visit each other whenever your gates are open (closed gates means no one may visit). Up to four people can be in your town at once. With four people in a town, this means you might not have everyone's friend code. No problem. You can simply tap their name on the friend code menu and add them. It is a great way to make friends.

Other additions from the GC to the DS is the ability to have different hair style and colors, better pattern designing due to touch screen controls, and many more!

    Con -

The only reason the game play did not receive 10 is due to the lack of NES games. In the GC version you were able to collect NES systems with old games such as Balloon Fight, Excitebike and more. Sadly these were removed for the DS. Probably due to the NES Classics for the GBA. I can't blame them for doing this, it is a smart business move, but it certainly is a shame that we can't enjoy them.

The only other con I can think of is having an extra room in your house that is meant for saving and game options. You can't furnish it or move things. This room serves little purpose because you can save anywhere by just pressing the start button. However you never really go up there, so you usually forget about it anyway.

    Graphics: 10

    Pro -

Definitely the best DS graphics to date. Everything look almost exactly like the GC version. The graphics definitely shine here.

    Con -

The pixel rate isn't as high as the GC due to the DS being portable, console but you can only tell the difference if you look really, really close. However it doesn't really matter, because the game still looks great.

    Sound: 8

    Pro -

There isn't any music in here that you will be buying a sound track for, but the tunes are very pleasant to the ears. Some of the music is from the GC, and some of it is new. And like the GC version, you can still create your own town theme.

One of the best parts of the sound are K.K. Slider's songs. K.K. Slider is a dog who plays his guitar at a coffee shop every Saturday. You can request a song from him and he will give you a recording of it. You can then take it to your house and play it in your stereo system. Most of his songs are really great, and are definitely a great reason to play on Saturdays.

    Con -

    None.

    Replay Value:10

I'll say it quite bluntly, there is no game out there with better replay value than Animal Crossing: Wild World. The GC version had great replay value, and now with the DS and it's Wi-Fi, endless replay value just got longer. Trust me, it doesn't get any better than this.

    Final Thoughts:

This game is the #1 reason to buy a Nintendo DS. It is far greater than it's GC version. I suggest buying this game with all confidence. It is truly a remarkable piece of work and will keep you playing for a very long time.

Actually this game hasn't gotten repetive for me. Of course it differs for different people, but for the most part it has the best replay value for any game on the DS. It is the time of game if even you do get bored of it (doubtful though), you will pick it up in a month and fall in love with it again. That's what hapend with me in the GC version, except now I have the DS.

P.S. If you have a GC, but not a DS, I suggest picking up the GC version, see if you like it, and judge if it is worth getting a DS for. If you already have a DS, you are wasting your money on the system if you don't get this game.

Also, I just saw the sticky and it said you get 3 credits for writing a review. I only got one like all of the other normal threads. Is there some kind of glitch?
