Asking For Reputation

Okay,

I'm getting sick of all the threads i need to edit. Everyone seems to ask for reputation these days. this has to stop. There is a rule that asking for reputation isn't allowed, if you do so, you risk to get fined or suspended.
* Rules about reputation *
Since i don't want to be a total asshole, i was kind enough to give you 2 warnings. but i've had it with that. From now on you have untill this friday (24 februar 2006) to edit all the reputation questions out of your threads (i don't expect you to go through all threads, just the ones on the first page, or the ones who are quite new (7 days ago). If i see a new thread with a reputation question after friday 24th. the thread will get deleted/closed. i also make a log about it. if you post a second thread with the reputation question. i'll contact a global mod to suspend/fine you.

well. the rules were allways there, but former mods didn't seem to care about it. anyway, offcourse i won't go that harsh on new people, but most of them aren't new. they allways get one warning (this thread and when they see their topic closed). i'll pm them, to tell them what happened.

and there are several threads with rules (it's in every topic-section) so if they don't care to read the rules, then i don't care to close their topics.

you might think that i'm an asshole, but hey, i didn't made the rules. and if you want something to "flow" good, you need rules to do so. Gr isn't that huge for nothing.

don't get me wrong, i'm not "bashing" previous render-mods. If they don't want to remind members about the rules, it's their own choice. I want to remind people about the rules. so yes i'm doing my best to point the rules to the people. If you dis-agree with me. talk to llamaman to demote me.

2nd
you can't be serious that GR is going down, because of the "don't ask for rep" rule. That's just stupid imo. Other forums work pretty fine without a rep-system. i don't know who made that rule, but as long as it's there, i'm gonna do everything in order to let people follow that rule. Some people are even asking reputation for something they didn't do. So if something is bringing down GR, then it might be the reputation-system in general.

i get the idea that you are jealous about kazuya and his dragon-render. it was a great render, so he deserved his 200 reps. Maybe some of them are caused by questioning for rep, but i guess that's why the rule was added in the first place.

So what are you really trying to tell me?
at first you are saying that the rule is stupid, and that only a few people abuses the rule. a few minutes later you are suggesting that kazuya got so many reps because he asked for it, so you are suggesting that the rule is good. i'm getting confused here...

btw. the globals don't seem to care so much, they just want that everyone is playing by the rules, so i'm even very kind over here...

and don't get me wrong, i'm not going to do ugly against people who are only a member since 2 days or something. They are people too, and they can make errors just as everyone else. But some of them are a member since 2 months, i think you should at least know the rules a little bit when you are a member for over 2 months. If i keep going nice on everyone, they don't care about the rules, because they know that i just fix it and give them the so-mannieth warning. so i think that being a bit tougher won't harm anyone, and is eventually good for GR.


And again, if you dis-agree with me, just report to llamaman to demote me. But i think he won't do it that easely, when i look at all the positive comments so far in this thread.

Now, You got what? 40 For it? RIP I got around 150. Wanna know why? Not becuz I asked for a Rep, becuz of the fact I rendered it to PROVE Anything was renderable and it was a personal goal, while you rendered it simply becuz you wanted to be known more...

Now, I don't appreciate you mouthing off LA, when he's done such a FREAKIN' AMAZING JOB of keeping GR in order and making sure people follow rules, while you just strolled around using the R. Mod title to get you known more.

The fact is, NEITHER of us like this new rule, but we HAVE TO enforce it, its GR RULES, Not Kazuya/LA Rules. So QUIT WHINNING about that.

You wanna know how pathetic I find it? You made me comeback to GR, JUST to make this post and highlight to you, your WRONG and being extremely HARSH towards LA when he's doing his job.

If you wanna take a stab at me, or RIP, then you say it to my face, not make a crappy post relating my Rep to this issue, as after the Rep rule was implaced, I NEVER, asked for rep again, although you continued to ask for it.
