Asus released this dual SLI-cored graphics card (I think) last week. You don't need to buy two video cards to make your PC an SLI. This card is dual-cored (two SLI cards into one). Pretty awesome, but too much to pay for. Here's the linkey on this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16814121213
its only two 7800GT's, imagine what it would give with two 7800GTX's... yike still... I can add that to my bigass list if i ever win a million dollars...
ye i was thinking the same Looks like Dual-7800 joined together For gamers who dont wana buy 2 seperate ones But still looks awesome - Dual Core GFX card bound to come out -lol
This is the type of card that Dell are using in their new Dell XPS 600 Renegade (that's a mouthful) that they unveiled at this years CES.
not a dual core GPU as you said, but rather a dual GPU card... not a big thing to say wrong though, I called it dual core about two months ago when it came out
Have seen this on newegg a long time ago ... but ya it is cool ... the only problem is, you can buy [2] 7800 GT Graphics cards for a total of $500 and this card costs over $800 ... or you can buy [2] 7800 GTX Graphics cards for about the same price as this 1 card ... it just isn't worth it. I also read that it is really hard to get that dual graphics card running in SLI because you need a motherboard that will run 2 cards at 16x, a very large power supply, and some way to cool your case better.
I know, on newegg ... you can get an EVGA 7800 GT for only $250 after rebate ... I payed $330 for my x850 XT Platinum Edition ... but then again ... i would have to buy a new processor and motherboard to support PCI-E instead of AGP <_<
AAAHHh awesomeness -- but I already have 2 7800's -- so useless for me, but still preety cool - too expensive as well
You can't have [2] x850 XT Platinum's in a computer working together ... you need [1] x850 XT Platinum Editon ... and [1] x850 Crossfire Edition. Thats how it works with ATI ... you don't put 2 of the same cards in your computer ... you put 1 card with 1 crossfire card.
