    I got a 3800 x2 and only a x800gto and i can run BF2 full settings perfectly..so you'll be fine..

if you need to, downgrade to a 3800 x2 and just OC it 10% like me and its at 4200 speed.. or if you dont need to just OC the 4200 to get it up to a 4600 (i think it would be that..)

    I'd say go with this:
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16814130238

Comes with a free mobo too, good for a backup, to sell, or give to a friend..its same price also and the same thing pretty much.. (although the speeds are like, 20 higher for both core and memory...same thing really.)

AWESOME!!!! The reason I was asking because some people say that the X2 (dual-core) processors won't play games and such. Is there any patch for newer games (like COD 2, etc.) to download for dual-core support?

Actually I didnt notice that, xD...you can if you want but I dont know much about it and I dont see a point to it anyway really, unless u dual-monitor maybe. I'm just saying, this way, you make ur payment all from one place, which from experiance newegg is very fast, and you get something free to sell or whatever..get some extra cash if u need it.

well some games are quirky with the X2s and PDs, but there is a simple solution. DL the latest drivers, or set the game to have an infinity with only one processor.

all games work on x2's. just some can only run on 1 processor like CSS and NFS:MW.

Cool. That was pretty helpful info on this. Also it was helpful on the parts I am getting. Thanks, guys. I can't wait to enjoy this dual-core experience.

You won't really notice the difference between a single core 4200+ at 2.0 GHz and a x2 4200+ at 2.0 GHz, but you WILL notice that you can run like 50 programs in the background and not get alot of slowdown because the processor will devote 1 core to the game and the other core to the other tasks.

Good parts so far, but DO NOT get Thermaltake cooling for that stuff :)

No such thing as a single core 4200+.

Thermaltake makes the fan best cooling and some of the best cases. Its just best to stay away from them with powersupplys and water cooling kits.
